ShieldPowerUp.com - the Clank to Ad-Aware Game Edition's Ratchet - just went live!

First the What:
ShieldPowerUp.com is the official companion website for Ad-Aware Game Edition, a security software application developed by Lavasoft. ShieldPowerUp.com is fully operated and maintained by Lavasoft.

Then the Why:
When we looked at how we would present Ad-Aware Game Edition to the world, putting it up on www.lavasoft.com next to Business Edition felt a bit like the PC and Mac commercials - rather weird for both parties. But on the other hand, we *really* didn't want to do a "tongue-in-cheek", Flash-based launch site that would be left to die two weeks after the launch, roaming the web like a zombie taking a wrong turn out of Left 4 Dead.

So in the end we decided:
If there would be any point to creating a separate site, we needed to find a way to provide long-lasting value to the customer and visitor. So that is what we did.

And now the How:
